On December 18, 2023, Guangdong Pharmaceutical University Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital held a grand celebration for its 20th anniversary and a renaming ceremony themed "Tribute to the Past, Pursue a New Journey." Liu Sheng, Party Secretary of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University; Zhai Lixiang, President of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University; Ling Ziping, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission; Hong Yangdong, Director of the Party and Government Office; He Huaping, Deputy Director of the Development Planning Department; Chen Yuqing, Vice President of Fosun International and Chairman of Fosun Health; Hu Hang, CEO of Fosun Health and Chairman of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital; Lin Junjie, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital; Chen Wenming, Executive Dean; and friends and medical experts from various sectors attended the event to witness the hospital enter a new stage of development.

It is understood that in 2003, Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University started as a small clinic. After 20 years of difficult exploration, perseverance and constant pursuit, it has developed from 20 beds to more than 900 beds today. It has opened more than 30 clinical departments and integrated medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, preventive health care, with a complete range of disciplines. In 2003, with approval from the Guangzhou Baiyun District Health Bureau, the Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University (Guangzhou Xinshi Hospital) was officially established. The anniversary celebration and hospital renaming ceremony began with an opening dance performance, "Ode to the Times." Chen Wenming delivered the opening remarks, welcoming the guests. Encouraging private medical institutions is a key national initiative to improve the medical service system. The hospital has a deep historical connection with Guangdong Pharmaceutical University. Since its establishment, under the support of governments and leaders at all levels, the hospital has continuously strengthened its close collaboration with Guangdong Pharmaceutical University in medicine, education, and research, promoting the development and cultivation of specialized specialties. The hospital focuses on developing core specialty departments in cardiovascular medicine, oncology, and brain disease. Neurology is a key discipline in Guangzhou's Baiyun District, and Oncology is the chair unit of the Guangzhou Baiyun District Medical Association's Oncology Branch.

Focusing on establishing a national chest pain center, stroke center, trauma center, and MDT model, the hospital continues to deepen its discipline development. It received Guangdong Province's "Chest Pain Center" certification in 2022 and was selected as a Guangzhou Stroke Emergency Hospital in 2023. This fully demonstrates the hospital's patient-centered, multidisciplinary collaborative consultation and medical treatment capabilities, creating a life-saving channel for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease patients in the region. In November 2022, the National Health Commission released the "14th Five-Year Plan for National Health Informatization," which identified the development of an "Internet + Healthcare" service system as one of its key tasks during the 14th Five-Year Plan. In early December 2022, the hospital launched a new "Dual SaaS" (HIS-SaaS and Internet Hospital SaaS) smart platform, integrating online and offline medical services, both in-hospital and out-of-hospital. This platform provides residents with closed-loop management of the entire disease process and a one-stop health management service integrating medicine, pharmacy, and healthcare. From online consultations and prescriptions to medical insurance payments and offline medication delivery, residents can complete all tasks using only a mobile phone.

Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University has long leveraged its status as a national tertiary general hospital to establish a medical alliance with surrounding primary healthcare institutions. This alliance fosters vertical integration, two-way referrals, and tiered diagnosis and treatment. Since 2018, the hospital has partnered with the Guangdong Disabled Persons' Charity Foundation and charitable enterprises to provide substantial financial assistance to patients. First aid instructional booths have been set up in the bustling commercial districts surrounding the hospital, teaching residents cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the Heimlich maneuver free of charge using accessible original songs and models. The hospital has also developed a public welfare IP for the "Little Doctor" experience program, and expressed its gratitude to frontline workers who continue to work in high temperatures.

Over the past 20 years, Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University has achieved remarkable results in medical expertise, social welfare, and high-quality services. At the anniversary celebration, the hospital recognized employees who had served for 10, 15, and 20 years, as well as those from dual-income families, and encouraged them to achieve even greater success.

As both a witness and a participant, Director Zhang Yingzi of the Medical Insurance Office shared with those present her pride and honor as a 20-year employee of the hospital. 20 years ago, Ms. Yu, who had an indissoluble bond with the hospital because of a wallet, brought her family to the scene to express her heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff who had helped her, and at the same time wished the hospital to achieve more success in the future and benefit more people.

At the end of the event, Hu Hang solemnly read out the name change matters and launched the name change unveiling ceremony. Relevant leaders from Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, Fosun Health, Guangdong Pharmaceutical University Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital and others jointly unveiled the plaque, symbolizing the joint efforts to embark on the road to future development.
