As early as 2017, a national government
report proposed encouraging the comprehensive development of various forms of
medical alliances (hereinafter referred to as "medical alliances") to
establish a collaborative mechanism that promotes the integration of
high-quality medical resources, enhances hospital medical service capabilities,
and facilitates access to nearby medical care for the public.
To actively respond to national policies,
achieve the sharing of high-quality resources, strengthen connections and
cooperation among medical institutions at all levels, and effectively improve
public health and well-being, Guangzhou Xinshi Hospital held an unveiling
ceremony on the morning of June 27, 2024, to establish a technical
collaboration hospital with the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou
University of Chinese Medicine.

Li Jun, President of the First Affiliated
Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, Luo Chuanjin, Deputy
Director of the Medical Department, Hu Hang, Chairman and CEO of Fosun Health,
Chen Wenming, Executive President of Guangzhou Xinshi Hospital, Liang Shuzhen,
Vice President, and chief experts of key support departments all attended the
ceremony.
Public tertiary hospitals and private
tertiary hospitals have joined forces to complement each other's strengths
Chairman Hu Hang extended a warm welcome
and heartfelt thanks to the leaders and experts who attended the unveiling
ceremony in his speech. He stated that since the hospital joined Fosun Group in
2021, it has had a new plan and deployment for its development. The signing of
this technical collaboration hospital cooperation agreement is a very rare
opportunity. The hospital will give full play to the role of a social hospital
and strive to leverage the advantages of the First Affiliated Hospital of
Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, a well-established tertiary hospital,
to achieve horizontal cooperation in technology, scientific research, talent
development, and other aspects, enhance its specialized service capabilities,
and provide a better quality and more convenient medical experience for the
surrounding residents.

President Li Jun of the First Affiliated
Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine commended our hospital's
achievements in clinical medicine, hardware equipment, and academic
development. He expressed hope that this technical assistance will serve as an
opportunity to expand, deepen, and strengthen the "teaching, mentoring,
and mentoring" efforts between the two hospitals in areas such as
specialty development, smart healthcare, and tiered diagnosis and treatment,
enabling the sharing of high-quality resources and effectively improving public
health and well-being.

Based on both hospitals' shared
patient-centric philosophy, President Chen Wenming expressed great anticipation
for the future development of talent and technology, the exploration of a
collaborative hospital model, and the sharing of medical resources.

Afterward, Vice President Liang Shuzhen
briefly introduced the hospital and its key specialties, expressing his hope
that by jointly establishing a "Technical Collaboration Hospital,"
disciplines such as the Oncology Center, Chest Pain Center, and Neurology
Center will achieve end-to-end collaborative development of talent and technology.
This will leverage the expertise and leadership of the established tertiary
hospitals while also fostering synergistic efficiencies within the medical
alliance, stimulating the vitality of tertiary hospitals and ushering in a new
chapter of high-quality development for the hospitals.

Many directors of cardiology, orthopedics,
general surgery, and neurology departments at both hospitals expressed their
anticipation and welcome for the proposed establishment of this technical
collaboration hospital. They also invited the director of the benchmarking
hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese
Medicine, to visit their departments and wards for on-site guidance. "We
hope that, with technical collaboration as the bond and mutual development as
the foundation, we can sincerely and wholeheartedly develop and serve the
community, establishing a model for specialized collaboration!"
